When you want to get away from it all and relax in the luxury of a top class safari lodge Tintswalo is the place to be
Seven hours drive from Johannesburg (or a short one hour flight) lies the private Manyeleti Game reserve. It borders the Kruger National Park and as there is no fence between the reserves, game wanders back and forth.
Although there are many private game lodges in this area, there is only one that offers the unique experience you will find at Tintswalo – instead of the ubiquitous African bush decor, the lodge celebrates the legends of the explorers who tamed Africa. It has all the luxury of a Victorian camp.
Each room is named for an explorer and has its own charm.

We chose to stay at the Manor House and so we had our own game ranger and tracker, along with a chef and a butler to take care of us.

The bedrooms in the Manor House have a different feel, but we found it to be a fantstic safari experience. We loved the bedrooms

Amd we loved the game! We saw 4 of the big five in two days. Our tracker found the game and the ranger drove us off road right close up to the animals. Not all of the lodges in this area allow their rangers to go off roading. We drove up to the waterhole at sunset on the first day and two bull elephants came to drink.

The next day we saw the lIons

We had a fantastic time – well worth putting up with no internet connection!
If you have been toying with the idea of taking a safari vacation in Africa, this is the place to go. With the current Rand/Dollar exchange rate it wont even cost you very much. And there is no place like Tintswalo for superb service and an outstanding safari experience.
