SOCIAL MEDIA COACH
I’ve been in public relations for more than 30 years and I am Accredited in PR (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America. Over the last fifteen years I’ve immersed myself in new technology and digital PR – most of my work today is as a social media strategist and trainer.

I’ve trained and coached PR and marketing teams at companies both large and small, as well as Fortune 100 executives, PR agencies and new PR graduates.
My workshops and presentations on social media and digital PR take me to most of the larger cities in the US and abroad. You can see the Q&A from my participation in the PRSA State of PR panel in January 2015 in Los Angeles here.

How I got here
In 1995 I was fortunate to be working on a program for several UK Universities funded by the European Union that involved the use of the Internet for distance education. It really opened my eyes to the future and the possibilities of digital communication.
I came to the US in 1999 and made it my mission to learn how to use the Internet for PR. I started this blog in the summer of 2003, and it was one of the first 20 PR blogs online. It is still ranked in the Top 20 PR blogs. I presented the first session on digital PR at the PRSA National Conference in 2004.
So I’ve been an evangelist for online and digital PR for 15 years now – and the natural progression into social media for the past eight years. Social media training and coaching that helps PR people embrace this new medium has become my passion.
The blog has grown to be a large part of my life and I regard it as my first priority – I try to blog every day. My aim is to bring PR practitioners the news and information they need to understand the rapidly changing media landscape and how it is affecting our work.
I have trained over 1000 PR professionals from Fortune 100 companies, small businesses, individual entrepreneurs, large international PR agencies and boutique shops.
My social media coaching program is done with one-on-one weekly sessions. I do them mainly using technology – online meetings or Skype calls – so I have clients all over the world.
