Chicago workshop sold out
We had a great day today in Chicago at the American Management Association venue near O’Hare airport. The room was full of PR, marketing and advertising people. Some are already well down the road with social media and some were just starting out.

What do PR, marketing and ad folk want to know about social media? Here is the list of take-aways this group wanted
- Getting C-suite buy-in for a social media program (In-house PRs )
- Getting clients on board (agencies)
- Integrating social media into a PR program
- Monitoring onine conversations
- Managing online reputation
- How to use Twitter effectively
- Can you keep your private and business persona separate online?
- Effective ways to use Facebook – or niche social networks
- Finding bloggers in a particular space
- Finding the influencers
- Knowing when to enter the conversation
- What exactly is Technorati – and is it still a valuable resource?
- Behavior patterns of different demographics online
- Sources for research and stats about use patterns
- Metrics – how can you show value for a social media program?
Tomorrow we fly to Washington DC for a one day workshop on Wednesday and then on to NYC for Friday. Saturday we go back to LA and do one at the Universal Hilton on Monday the 11th. There are still a few seats available at these events. Call Lailoni Duarte at Bulldog Reporter.
Once the series is done, and I have the take-away list from all four days, I’ll do a series of blog posts about each one. And the top ten will be the topics for the PRoactive Reports over the next six months. Each report will cover one of these requested takeaways in depth.
