Blog in dictionary
Now here’s an indicator that blogs took the world by storm this year – the American Merriam-Webster dictionary publishers dubbed "blog" as word of the year for 2004.
They chose blog to mark the rise in influence of bloggers, who are simultaneously courted, ridiculed and feared.
They were courted during the run up to the elections and the blog coverage of the politcal conventions showed just how much influence they have.
