Tagging Feature Gives RSS Feeds More Visibility

August 10, 2006 by Sally Falkow

First test works like a charm

Early Monday morning I was testing the new feature of Technorati tags and I wrote andposted an article in the PRESSfeed news feed .

We were at SES and about 3 pm that aternnon I checked Technorati to see if there was any visibility on the post.  Lo and behold!  It was number one for the keywords content syndication.

Our blog had been visible in Technorati – and we use tags in that blog. But this is the first time our RSS feed posts have been picked up and featured so prominently.

When I checked back around 5.30 that day I saw that 11 blogs had linked to that post already.

One of the questions we were asked repeatedly at SES was where does the feed go – who sees your content?  How will I know it is working?

With tagging and prominent visibility in Technorati you can easily see where it goes and who is linking to your articles.
