The buzz on the Yahoo/Overture story gets all the attention

Yahoo’s actions this month were a perfect blend of traditional PR strategy combined with online PR and optimized press releases.
One of the best ways to generate media interest is to release your news in tandem with an event you know the media already has a strong interest in.
What better time to release two search related news stories than just before the Search Engine Strategies conference? Jerry Yang, co-founder, Chief Yahoo and Director of Yahoo, was interviewed by “search engine guru” Danny Sullivan as the opening keynote at SES and all the relevant media interested in search mareting were there.
